2007 Bay Iberian Warmblood Filly by Multi-National Champion PRE stallion, Kianto (Jackass Mountain Ranch), out of our imported, Hanoverian mare, Primavera. Ariana is a picture of the ideal Dressage horse. She has excellent conformation, with great bone mass and muscle length. Her movement and suspension are extraordinary. She is very intelligent, quick to learn, and enjoys engaging with humans. She has an elegant presence about her that demands attention. She will be an exceptional show horse. Primavera was imported to the United States as a competition horse and we had the pleasure of having her here as a broodmare until the end of her life. She was a wonderful, talented mare, and is sorely missed. Ariana is the last of Primavera’s foals, and the beginning of a new legacy. Fall of 2009 we started Ariana in long lines. She has proven to be an excellent student, sensitive and light on the line. She is the classic extrovert, always letting us know what she thinks and where she is at in what we are asking of her. She will begin her formal training under saddle spring of 2010. In 2007 Ariana’s full brother, Brentano de Kianto (owned by Ami MacHugh, Jackass Mountain Ranch), went to the IALHA National Championships. Brentano was a two years old at the time competing against mature, adult geldings. We were very impressed to see him come away with three Reserve National Championships in Half Andalusian Geldings, Half Andalusian Best Movement, and Half Andalusian Sporthorse. In addition he was awarded two gold medals in movement. Ariana and Brentano have proven the theory that the gymnastic extension of the quality Warmblood in combination with the natural collection of the Andalusian will often give us an exceptional competition horse.
